Alex Jones had guest Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins on again today, which is always a treat. During both interviews I have seen with Billy Corgan, he suggests that Alex take his mission to the next level.

It amounts to this: Once people wake up and acknowledge that the system which brings us everything we need to survive is completely corrupt and oppressive, what is the best response? What are our options?

I’m going to use biblical parlance, because I resonate with it, and it expresses the answer to that question so well. So if you have a hangup about Jesus or the Bible, try to get over it for a minute. Using the Babylonian metaphor, the sage advice is this:

Come out of her my people, that you do not partake of her plagues.

There is no way I can sugar coat this. Coming out of the “Babylon” system is an utterly radical and drastic act. It requires extricating ourselves from the life support systems with which we are familiar — the corrupt, exploitative, and unjust means by which we get all the stuff we need to survive. Yes, it seems like an overwhelming and even impossible prospect, but, unless we are going to drag the next generations into the quagmire of our hypocrisy, we have no choice.

The journey out of Babylon first requires finding our spiritual center because we need to be grounded in spirit to find the faith that makes us brave enough to take the trip. Why? Because we need to overcome our
fear of suffering and death. In order to forge the better way, we need to be warriors girded with armaments of truth, righteousness, and love.

Second, everybody who travels out of Babylon will have to have a “bug out” mentality. That is, we must know how to practice essential physical sustenance within the parameters of the spiritual understanding above.

This is what I mean by Simple Unhooked Living. Simple because it is thrival that depends on the basic resources of earth, air, fire and water. Unhooked because it is separate from what the status quo supplies. Living because it is grounded in the Life spirit. Such a life requires “best practices” on all levels of existence — doing the utmost best with the hand we are dealt. This is required for the transition from where we are to where we are going.

So, Alex Jones, the question Billy Corgan suggests you explore is this: What practical and loving actions must people undertake now to throw off oppression and evolve to Earth’s next great paradigm?
